Why study in Bulgaria?

Study in Bulgaria is to study in European Union, taking advantage ofexcellent quality of education and life. Bulgarian Student Visa:

The second step to study in Bulgaria, after getting acceptance letter, is to apply for Bulgarian Student Visa (D­type Visa) valid from 3 to 6 months. Bulagraian student Visa can be obtained from any Bulgarian Diplomatic Mission abroad to student fulfilling some requirements. Required documents for Bulgarian student visa application: Photocopy of Passport valid at least for one yea (the first page of the foreign travel document); Acceptance letter (certificate stating that the applicant is admitted as a student in Bulgarian university plus the Certificate from the University stating that the applicant will be accommodated in the student hostel); Medical insurance valid for the EU member states for the whole period of the trip, covering all costs for repatriation and for urgent medical care and emergency hospital treatment for the period of the stay indicated in the visa. Bank document issued on the name of the applicant to prove that tuition fee has been paid (in generally for half of annually tuition fee). Colourful photograph 3,5 cm х 4,5 cm against Wight background (the same holds for a child entered in the passport) – a full­face photo with clear, large enough face which takes up 70­80% of the photo; eyes must be red; the following is ineligible: photos with dark glasses; non­professional photos or cut out of amateur photos Tickets (original and copy) or ticket booking confirmation or financial means For under­aged children travelling without their parents or trustees the following documents shall be submitted: a. Copy of the birth certificate b. Original and photocopy of a power of attorney notary certified by both parents/ trustees or by one parent trustee that they agree their child to travel unaccompanied by them. Photocopy of the last Bulgarian and Schengen visas or visas for the UK and the US, if any. Even if visas are not required by visitors from the following countries for visit up to 90 days, all students from non­EU / EEA and Switzerland must entry visa to study in Bulgaria. After the arrival in Bulgaria, the applicant with Bulgarian student visa must apply for a long­term stay (residency permit) in Bulgaria, valid for one year maxim and renewable every year for the whole period of the studies. Application for residency permit is only be submitted in Bulgaria after final registration at University.

Student living expenses :

Student Cost of living in Bulgaria is among the lowest not only in Europe but all over the worldwide. So in Bulgaria, international students and especially European international students are attracted mainly by Bulgarian good universities, English, French or even Germany programmes, at the cheapest cost. Prices do tend to vary from town to town, and the larger cities will be more expensive to live in, however overall you can expect on food bills to be around half what they are in the UK, Accommodation and utilities (electricity and gas) are at least one third of UK market. Tuition fees are very reasonable and even the cheapest in Europe for many specialities: for example, for medical study in English, the annually tuition fee is 8000 Euro.

Application documents Application documents or required documents :

To get into Bulgarian universities or high education institutes must be prepared carefully taking in account that the admission is based on the application file selection, without any further test. List of required documents to apply to Bulgarian university: A completed Application form where the proficiency level of the applicant in Bulgarian language or other language of study has to be explicitly specified; A validated copy and a certified translation of the applicant’s diploma of secondary education including a supplement specifying the period of attendance and the grades in different subjects. Applicants for Master’s degree courses should present a validated copy and a certified translation of a diploma of higher education (Bachelor’s or Master’s) accompanied by a Transcript of Records; A document issued by a competent body certifying the applicant’s eligibility to continue his/her studies in higher educational institutions in the country in which he/she has completed his/her secondary education; A medical certificate issued not earlier than one month before the application procedure, validated by the respective authorities in the applicant’s country; A photocopy of the applicant’s passport /identity card with the name legibly written in Latin alphabet and indicating the place and date of birth. Applicants with dual citizenship should also provide photocopies of their Bulgarian identity card/passport. Whenever there is a difference between the names on the two identity cards or passports, the applicant must also provide a notarized declaration of identity (or a certificate issued by the respective municipal authorities) stating that the different names belong to one and the same person; Four recent photographs of the applicant; Certificate of English (one of the following or their equivalent: TOEFL 550, ILTS 6.0 or Cambridge First Certificate), French or Germany proficiency for those wishing to study in international language. Note that if you are from English (French or Germany) speaking country or you have good command of the language and you do not have international recognised certificate, you can seat for a test on your arrival at Bulgarian high education institution.
