Vistula University is one amongst the oldest non-public universities in Poland. Established in 1992 under the name of the University of Insurance and Banking, it achieved its current status through dynamic development and contacts with other non-public higher education institutions. In 2019, Aleksander Gieysztor Academy in Pułtusk became one of our branches.
Vistula University is at the forefront of the best private universities in Poland. It takes the 5th place in the prestigious ranking of non-public higher education institutions “Perspektywy” 2023. A special reason for satisfaction is also the 6th place of Vistula University amongst all Polish universities in the Graduate in the 2022 labour market category.

The main application REQUIREMENTS to study on an English programme, are:
- 60% GPA from previous studies.
- B2 level of English (if you apply for the programme in English) (confirmed by TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or another internationally recognised certificate). If your previous education was conducted in English, you may apply without a certificate, but if you are accepted, you will then need to confirm your level of English upon arrival, by doing our University test. If you fail the test, you are supposed to study on a PREP course for at least 1 semester.

- Sworn translation of a High School Diploma / Bachelor’s Diploma
- Apostille (except Belarus and Ukraine)
- Language certificate, if you have one
You need to SUBMIT your application, so we can proceed with your admission. After you SUBMIT your application, you will get a reply, within 2-3 days. If you get an Offer Letter, you are supposed to make the payment and sign the study agreement. After that, we will send you the relevant documents for a visa. All information on the visa process and required documents, can be checked on the website of the Polish consulate based in in your country.

Vistula University took second place in the QS Europe ranking in the international student diversity category among all 688 universities included. The QS Europe ranking is the only large ranking of universities from all over Europe on the market. Its core are universities from countries belonging to the Council of Europe, the leading human rights organization on the continent. The methodology places particular emphasis on exchange and internationalization as they are central to the European ethos.
